Google Developer Student Clubs VIT is a university based community group at VIT CHENNAI that aims to rejuvenate the minds in tech.
We provide a platform to not only skills and knowledge, but also innovation and willingness.
We strive to make education accessible by hosting regular meetups, workshops, study jams, hackathons, webinars and interactive hands-on sessions.
We have also published courses on Udemy and YouTube for free and aim to take more steps in this direction. Inspired by the motto of WomenTechmakers to bring more #WomenInTech, we host an annual Women-centric hackathon, WomenTechies.
Hexathon is a 24-hour beginner-friendly design hackathon in which participants are provided with a variety of design challenges for them to find the most elegant and efficient solutions.
This provides teams with not only a variety of problem statements but also a variety of design elements ranging from illustration styles to color palettes which assist the participants with designing their canvas.
The participants have complete freedom over which problem statements they want to solve, and which themes they want to pick in order to solve these problem statements.
This design hack incites a sense of creativity amongst budding designers by exposing them to problems that require design concept-based solutions.
